About Anthony Ballard

I am a retired Army Sergeant. I led, mentored, and counseled 20+ soldiers in my time in the Army and was solely responsible for their professional and personal growth. I spent one year in Tikrit, Iraq as a Radio Operator, 15 months in Baghdad, Iraq as a Training Coordinator, and one year in Kandahar, Afghanistan as a Networking Administrator and Satellite Communications Supervisor. I coordinated and led 200+ training events in preparation for deployments to Afghanistan and Iraq with a 98% success rate. Post Army retirement, I worked in Customer Service as a Technical Support Expert at Cox Communication for one year and then was promoted to Tier II technical support. There I was able to conduct advanced troubleshooting for customers over the phone and de-escalate 1000+ customer complaints. While working in this field, I attended ECPI University and earned my bachelor’s degree in Network Security and then my master’s degree in Cyber Security. I earned my Security + Certification in December 2019. I am currently working towards my Network+ and CISSP exams. In January of 2020 I accepted an IT Support Manager position at AGI, formally known as Architectural Graphics Incorporated. I am the IT Support Manager, and my duties include help-desk management, desktop, laptop and mobile phone support, asset management, vendor management, and software licensing management. I am also able to configure and deploy both Junos and Ubiquiti edge switches.
