Now working for ARCC on all Huawei deployment projects for 3UK Chariot swap, Tactical and Strategic T&A sites including 5G, Also EE Huawei 5G Apollo and MiMo projects.

Most recent projects include Huawei 5G trial sites for Vodafone and EE Apollo, 3UK project chariot swap and TA sites. Huawei accredited performing full Beacon upgrades for ARCC and Mono, Daly International projects such as completing lift & shift Flood resilience and RTA damaged cabinet replacements for EE. Also deploying special event temp sites for EE and O2 with Clarke telecom and Projex.

Having started my own company AJB Telecoms Ltd. I am currently rolling out Huawei L21 upgrades on the Vodafone network for Comvergent.

Following Ericsson managed services winning the Vodafone maintenance contract I was TUPE'd to Ericsson ltd. With the re-organisation of field teams within Vodafone my role developed to all aspects of field work including installation, commissioning, maintenance and fault finding on all operational equipment. These skills are still being utilised and developed now in my local region.I am also responsible for all calibrated equipment in our area for 19 engineers liaising with the Calibration department and keeping spreadsheets to make sure all kit is within the specification required by our procedures. After demonstrating my ability to work alone with minimal support I was promoted to Commissioning Engineer. I broadened my skills to include commissioning of Vodafone paging. I was responsible for the role out, installation and commissioning of the “Select Channel 3” network and upgrades of the Premier network across our region.

Working within a small team of 5 engineers we covered the Vodafone rollout of base stations across the South West of England and the South of Wales. Tasks included the commissioning, fault finding, test calling and integration of all new installations and expansions to the TACs and 2G networks. Including the network elements such as digital cross-connect equipment (CP 3000 & Philips SCX) and Tellabs ADPCM’s.

In addition to my previous installation tasks, as an intermediate I deputised for the Senior Technician which included day to day running of work load for a team of 10 people and reporting back to management. I broadened my computer knowledge with training in Word and Excel as well as formal training in Supervisory Skills to help me perform these additional duties.

Covering the whole of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. My role included various installation tasks including TACs, D.C. power plants, Vodapage, Paknet, RBS 200 / 2000 kit at radio base station sites and equipment racks and DDF wiring at MTX locations.

Printed circuit boards to prototype hardwired boards and units, working to drawings or circuit diagrams.I was involved in work at other E.M.I. sites throughout the country and had experience in various M.O.D. projects, Watermark Magnetics and British Rail projects such as APTIS and PORTIS.
