About Anthony Bartley
I have had 12+ years’ experience in Java, of which approximately 7 years was in the financial sector. I have an MSc in Advanced Software Engineering (specializing in shared memory & distributed computing). As can be seen from the variety of my experiences, I have the qualifications and background to enable me to be productive immediately.Previously 4 years’ experience with C/C++ I have worked with international clients and have a technical background in design & analysis, implementation, some consulting, testing and troubleshooting. The nature of consulting demands that working environments and initiatives change often. By virtue of this I have a demonstrable track record of rapidly assimilating into a client’s culture and gaining an understanding of the client’s business needs. This has enabled me to establish credibility and become an effective team member in a very short time frame. I have brought initiative, flair and innovation to the projects I worked have on; ensuring that they satisfy the requirements, finish within the allocated times and meet client expectations. I have also had over three years of agile experience. The last 1+ years I have taken a part time roll in a small company which had the flexibility to allow me to do the work at times which fitted with the care of my mum. I am now in the position where I can consider a more demanding roll so long as I can supplement the care needed whilst I am at work, hence my need for contract work. Ideally I would also like a role which allows me to work from home a minimum one day a week, but ideally two days, which cushions my not being there 24/7. I am also looking for challenges which will mentally stimulate me and having had a look at trading of bitcoins for a possible project for a client, I have gained an interest in trading.
