As the Director and founder of Montrose Pictures, I have been making film and television documentaries and features for worldwide distribution since 2005. I have over 20 years of experience as a journalist and filmmaker, working with leading broadcasters and organisations such as the BBC, Channel 4, ITN, and EuroNews. I have also delivered camera and editing training courses for young filmmakers in Afghanistan. My films explore the impact of environmental and social issues on communities and landscapes around the world, from Scotland to Africa, from Afghanistan to Tajikistan. I have won multiple international awards for my work, including You've Been Trumped (2012), A Dangerous Game (2014), Dark Side of the Greens (2015), Flint: Who Can You Trust? (2020) and Eye of the Storm (2021). I am passionate about creating engaging and impactful stories that inspire change and action. I am currently developing a new feature-length film project.
