Duties include daily operation and maintenance over voice, data, and video equipment directly supporting the Mark Center, Pentagon, and DoD networks. Analyzes voice, video, radio-frequency, and data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.• Plans network layouts and configures systems to user environments.• Analyzes network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.• Supports the acquisition of hardware and software as well as subcontractor services as needed.• Provides technical support and troubleshooting to users.• Provides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced network personnel and provides supervisory responsibilities.• Serves as a technical team and task leader.

Duties include deploying, sustaining, troubleshooting, and repairing standard voice, data, and video secure/non-secure network infrastructure systems, IP detection systems and cryptographic equipment.
