I am a seasoned claims professional with expertise in the field of workers’ compensation. I have been in the insurance claims industry for more than 30 years, the majority of which have been at a management level. My career includes positions as a front line claim adjuster, Claims Team Manager, Claim Director, Regional Claim Manager, and currently as a Senior Claims Consultant, working with clients on claims from all coverage lines. I have spent the majority of my career with major insurance carriers and since 2015 have been working with Conner Strong & Buckelew, where in addition to my Consultant responsibilities I also lead the Workers' Compensation Practice. In my time in management I have led teams from small units up to a regional operation of over 50 employees. My skills and experience include: strategic planning; leadership; development of strategic customer relationships with particular attention to large, national or global customers; claim and coverage advocacy; claims best practices; project management; recruitment, development, and retention of high performing talent; modeling behavior that demonstrates commitment to core values; management of all staffing responsibilities; application of claims and market knowledge to identify how an organization can meet customer needs. I possess a strong technical background but have demonstrated particular proficiency in the area of customer service and relationship development.
