As director of ZLCF’s deal flow team, I sourced and screened 30+ companies-of-interest, established deal-sharing relationships with local VC and angel investors, hosted several pitches to the full fund, and refined our internal CRM platform for managing our pipeline of potential investments.

The Zell Lurie Commercialization Fund is a student-run venture capital fund based out of Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, investing in early-stage Michigan-based or Michigan-founded startup companies. As an associate, I heard pitches from founders and performed due diligence on potential investments.

As a process chemistry intern I optimized the scaled syntheses of several organosilane monomers for downstream polysiloxane (silicone) production. One of the compounds I worked on has since moved to production at a 500 gallon scale. (Supervised by Larry Fertel, PhD)

My undergraduate research involved the design and synthesis of several classes of fluorinated nanomaterials. It is hypothesized that these materials can be used as 19F MRI contrast agents and in targeted drug delivery applications. I gained in-depth, hands-on experience in organic synthesis, polymer synthesis, and inorganic nanoparticle preparation.
