 Designed groups port operation for West Africa which includes clearing reefer containers, berthing vessels, break bulk, discharge of cargo, warehouse space, loading – unloading, wharf direct discharge and dispatches. Safeguarded pilferages in warehouses, on containers and vessels discharge. Upgraded SOP for port operations to control damages, shortages, overweight, excess loading, expiry, port stocks, tracking pre – post shipment on SAP based program.  Implemented continuous improvement process to follow up for original import documents with suppliers, banks-for letter of credit, bill of lading, RAR, exchange control, customs for duty drawback and shipping lines. Liaison with statutory bodies, customs authorities, NAFDAC, SON, Federal fisheries, terminals operators, port authorities, transporters union, surveyors, stevedores, shipping, clearing agents and internal audit. Evaluated insurance claims, MIS reports, inventory accuracy, transporters bills, and vessel lay timings.

 Controlled inbound – outbound, reverse operations, fuel, warehouse documentation – issue, receipts, GRN, transfers, requisitions, invoicing, inventory, closing stock on daily basis, fleet and space utilization index for reorder level, PPE, fast –slow and obsolete stock on ERP system with 99.99% accuracy. Interacted with site stores for loading - unloading, purchase department, marketing, internal audit, trucking, fleets operator and suppliers.  Ensure delivery schedule in line with HSSE, staying under budget, restructuring SOP functions and eliminating redundancies.

 Monitored imports – exports, vessels, reefers – dry containers, clearing & shipping agents, break bulk, Ro-Ro, berthing, duty calculations, discharge, loading- unloading, dispatches ,letter of credit, exchange control and bonded warehouse . Coordinated with statutory bodies, customs, NAFDAC, SON, surveyor, stevedores, and transporters for smooth operations. Approved final invoices for air - sea consignments, transporters, other vendors, securities, shipping line, terminals, surveyors and all expenses with the help of SAP records. Supervised internal audits, submitting claims for shortages- damages, dispatches, pilferages and exchange control.

 Advised materials required planning for order flow and demand management and provide value added services. Administered post delivery inspection, customer’s delivery with valid documentation via SAP. Procured confirm orders to plant for spares, accessories as can render 100% services after sales.

 Achieved deadlines consistently for export orders and keeping stock inventory below level as per TAT. Successfully implement WMS system of put away, picking, shipping and replenishment through RFID and SAP. Verified stock management, receipt-issue, loading -unloading, inbound-outbound cargo with 100% accuracy.

 Handled computerized stores operations with smooth flow of inbound- outbound, stocks, materials receiving, inventory control, stacking, binning, MIS reports, product code, FIFO and stock taking on Oracle based program. Advanced knowledge of stores documentation, procedures, receipt, issue, discrepancies claims for shortages received , records of excess, verify invoices in lieu to reconciliation of PO’s as stores is in line with pending orders from vendors. Ensure implementation of 5S, safety and security of warehouses. Accredited ISO 9002 certified by BVQI for warehouses and Logistics operations for the group throughout UAE.
