Leader of a committed team operating a great customer service company. Notwithstanding that TPS was one of the larger IRD approved tax pooling intermediaries, I was employed to focus on sales and key relationship management in order to grow the business to the next level. TPS revenues were derived from financing, broking and proprietary trading. In the seven months I led TPS, I grew revenues by 15% and significantly reduced a number of business costs. Capital raising was on the medium term agenda for TPS Board directors however an early significant strategic initiative I drove resulted in an opportunistic sale of the business to professional services firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC). My contribution to the success of the TPS business and the initiative that resulted in it being sold to PwC has been gratefully acknowledged by the TPS Board.

Structured and delivered complex financing transactions for Institutional, Corporate and SME clients. Also undertook capital raising transactions for the bank such as NZX listed hybrid preference share transactions, BISHA and BNSPA (both now fully repaid by the bank and delisted). Responsibilities in my last role with the bank as Director - Corporate & Specialised Finance included managing a fantastic team of specialist bankers working on and delivering forward thinking and innovative products for clients and the bank. One such transaction was the first Covered Bond program and issuance by an Australasian entity, and another was the secured funding of full flight aircraft simulators.

Responsible for providing strategic tax planning & advice to Asia Pacific countries covering the entire ambit of taxation i.e. direct (corporate & individual), indirect and transfer taxes, and levies & duties.
