At this job, we doubled as a Security Guard and an Emergency Medical Technician at the same time. Medical things were my main focus at this job but, I've gained a lot of experience on dealing with Criminal and Security issues as well. After about a year of being employed, I became a Field Training Officer and began training other EMT's. I've trained most of their current team and was even able to effectively train 3 at once when they were all brought in at once. After our manager retired and we were left with an acting supervisor, I stepped up on little duties to keep things together. I became a go-to person for questions and also took over on managing our Inventory. I ran plenty of medical calls but, I also gained some experience on how to supervise a team from this job.

I worked as a Program Aide for the Extended School Services Program at multiple Elementary Schools. We took care of the kids before and after they went to class. I enjoyed the job because we were able to have fun while helping the kids grow. That included tutoring them with school work but, we also got to run exciting activities as well. We took them on field trips and were allowed to run our own Art&Science Projects for the kids. On top of that, I was able to coach a few Kickball Teams and help them learn good sportsmanship through participating in daily basketball/football games. I enjoyed being able to make a difference in kid's lives but, I also learned a lot about patience and keeping an open mind when dealing with people from this job.
