ADOT Quality Assurance- Train new and interim staff- Review and assist Regional Materials Engineer with submittals and approvals for materials on ADOT projects- Perform materials testing and sampling for road construction materials including Portland Cement and Asphaltic Concrete, Soils and Aggregates (ATTI, AASTHO, and ASTM test methods)- Review and verify Pay Factors, Penalties, and possible Reject material- Assist in resolving conflicts and disputes concerning construction project materials- Ensure materials and testing procedures for ADOT projects adhere to Project Plans and Special Provisions- Maintain detailed records for test results and material certifications.- Coordinate with Tucson materials suppliers and construction staff to meet requirements for ADOT projects- Communicate with ADOT field inspectors to help facilitate construction progress- Repair, maintain, and calibrate equipment as needed- Maintain all personal certifications for materials testing- Operate State Vehicle safely

- Document contractor’s work daily and complete submittal of contractor’s pay estimates. - Review Line Items, Unit Prices, Measurements and issue payments to contractor- Assist in conflict resolution for road construction and traffic control- Sample materials including concrete, soils, and asphalt. Perform field density testing for in- place soils.- Maintain Field Certifications for ATTI Soils/Aggregates, Asphalt, and ACI Concrete.- Operate State Vehicle safely- Types of road construction inspections include:

Responsible for all Hotel Facilities and Maintenance Staff- Customer service and assistance to hotel guests- Work with team and direct all hiring, training, and scheduling of new and current staff.- Client services- oversee, and schedule all service contractors.- Oversee and complete monthly budget and planning for all hotel maintenance.- Achieve 100% compliance with bi-annual hotel inspections.- Custodial duties- routinely deep clean guest rooms and common areas. - Grounds-keeping- irrigation system, pool, and HVAC equipment clean and in working order.- Perform regular fire alarm and emergency lighting checks. - Monitor and maintain hotel media and television system.- Perform general troubleshooting, electrical work, painting, plumbing, and carpentry as needed. Note- I completed the full term of work agreed upon with Holiday Inn as their Interim Chief Engineer and was offered the permanent position before moving to Arizona
