Assures a strong "safety base" is incorporated in all aspects of the work.• On a small to medium-sized project, interprets, organizes, coordinates, and directs multi-discipline craft activities within a specific area of the project, or all related crafts of a single discipline covering all areas of the project.• Ensure the correct activities are worked to support overall scheduling objectives.• .• Ability to manage direct hire union building trades union craft employees, and involved in new hire orientation processes. • Proficient in issuing jurisdictional work assignments, estimating work, reading and understand engineering construction drawings and documents. • Demonstrated knowledge in reading scheduling tools, project controls tools - cost control and reports, change order processes, earned value reporting and evaluation process, productivity measurement. • Learns company safety procedures, and uses OSHA and client safety requirements to prevent incident and injury, and enforces them in the field. • Assures compliance with Quality Control requirements, inspections, and hold points. • Coordinates work activities with other Superintendents and Plant Area Coordinators. • Project conformance to national, local and/or company building codes and the maintenance of accurate records. • Oversees and contributes to planning, estimating and field execution Requisitions tools, materials and equipment in accordance with established procedures and necessary lead times. • Ensures that daily foreman reports are accurately completed, and ensures time sheets are timely and accurate.• Proficient in reading and understanding engineering construction drawings, specifications, and documents.
