As a Remote Pilot in Command with Triangle UAS, it was my job to test a Drone Application. I was tasked with monitoring the drone on each run to ensure that the application and the drone were communicating correctly. Once the tests were completed, I documented and recorded the information to a google sheet which was then reviewed by the application development team to make improvements.

I work closely with Dr. Russ, NCSU Agricultural and Resources Economics Department, Head Director. My responsibilities include teaching labs, grading papers and tutoring. This position has afforded me the ability to further expand and grow my knowledge in accounting and small business administration. Through my efforts with Dr. Russ, I have gained a valuable reference along with exposure to the USDA and other local farming organizations.

Through the USDA internship program of 2016, I worked with the Agricultural Research Service (ARS); specifically with the small grains division. My tasks included a variety of hands on experience both in the field and lab. The field work helped to show the importance of a controlled environment and the need to be able to properly collect data for further examination in the lab. Through the lab, I was tasked to complete research data and assist with the compiling of information that would be used by other resources.My final project was to review the data and create a presentation that would be used for future research experiments and analysis.

I worked as a part of the NCSU hospitality services at the locations Carter-Finley Stadium, Talley Student Union and Hunt Library. My priorities were to serve special events and special guests at university functions. My tasks included room preparation, food quantity calculations and special dietary needs of individual guests. I grew in responsibility to leading and training other staff for events.

Specifically I offered fertilization, seeding, mowing and mulching. In order to start and follow through with this activity, I purchased a select few pieces of equipment that I had to learn to operate and maintain. In addition I worked with MS Excel to keep track of my expenses, and create invoices. The operation of my own business put a seed in my desire to be a motivated individual to ask for the business, ensure clear communication and ask for referrals for additional business.
