After the second successful sale of the business to a new PE investor, I was promoted to Interim CEO and President and then remained as President after the hiring of an outside CEO. I led the re-tooling of the New Product Development process including adding an engineering team and outside resources to invigorate the process. We implemented a disciplined stage gate process with ROI justification and continual VOC feedback. We also created a detailed Strategic Plan to give an underpinning to the detailed 5 year objectives. Due to the custom nature of our business we implemented a Sales Force Effectiveness program driven by an internal team. We hired a consultant to support and execute the plan to improve the internal and external selling process. The team also created a Merger and Acquisition evaluation spread sheet that ranked potential acquisitions based on the key criteria we had developed based on our 5 years of extensive M&A activity.
