Responsible for the design, implementation and improvement of manufacturing process plans for customer designed ground turbine and aircraft engine sheet metal combustion parts and fabrications. This includes creating quotes to respond to customer RFQs, acting as Project Manager for NPI programs and communicating with the customer with regards to print concessions, non-conforming product and qualification requirements. Additional responsibilities include developing and qualifying of resistance spot/seam weld procedures to meet both customer and industry standard requirements (i.e., MIL-STD-6858, AMS-6858 and AWS D17.2). Responsibilities for resistance welding also include training of operators and inspectors as well as audit preparation and support in order to satisfy NADCAP certification requirements.
