Responsible for the instruction of students in basic academy, advanced and specialized law enforcement classes, courses of The Juvenile Justice System. Utilizes diverse instructional methodologies based upon proven adult learning principles while presenting and incorporating classroom and practical, scenario-based performance outcome training programs.Researches, develops and evaluates practical application training exercises. Maintains a general knowledge of all areas of law enforcement to provide assistance to other instructors in the presentation of their assigned areas of instruction.

ResponsibilitiesExamine crime scenes to obtain clues and evidence, such as loose hairs, fibers, clothing, or weapons. Secure deceased body and obtain evidence from it, preventing bystanders from tampering with it prior to medical examiner's arrival.Obtain evidence from suspects. Provide testimony as a witness in court. Analyze completed police reports to determine what additional information and investigative work is needed.Prepare charges or responses to charges, or information for court cases, according to formalized procedures.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following; to create a positive learning environment to ensure all students are maximizing their learning abilites. To educate students in the career regarding the Juvenille Justice System. To administer test, examines, and written essays regarding the overall core of the class subject. To ensure all policies and procedures by the University is followed and carried throughout the semester.Skills include experience with Juvenille probation and monitoring Juvenille's on house arrest. Developing interpersonal skills to interact, and mentor individuals apart of the Juvenille program.

Juvenile probation officers (JPO) supervise youth who have been accused or convicted of crimes and are subsequently placed on probation or under protective supervision. JPOs work closely with law enforcement, social services, schools, and parents to help juveniles become successful. Probation officers who accrue experience and have an advanced degree, such as a master's degree, may advance to the position of juvenile probation supervisor or to an administrative position. Youth probation officers typically work for the state.
