I work well under pressure and I am accustomed to a fast paced environment where both deadlines and safety are a priority.Currently I am a poly welder for Murphy Pipe and Civil but prior to this I was with an electrical contracting business that specialises in general electrical controls, general electrical installations, and large scale diesel pumps and generating sets which are used predominately for mining applications. Day to day work within the mining industry includes fitting up various size hydraulic and pneumatic delivery / instrumentation piping for testing and commissioning – including welding of HDPE piping, torqueing flanged connections as per relevant flange installation checklists, fitting up pump sets to diesel power units up to and including 27 litre capacity, wiring / testing / commissioning of the electrical systems including temperature, pressure, current sensing transducers, 4-20mA control systems and all standard electrical BMA specification equipment. Furthermore, I was responsible for electrical installation and maintenance of portable/site offices and lighting, test and tagging of equipment and repair of equipment ranging from replacement of fuel solenoids on diesel engines to termination of cathodic protection devices and providing test results for ITR’s (inspection and test records) in the Gas Industry. While quality work and progress was always a priority safety was higher, I have great experience in keeping up to date and thorough SWMS and JHA’s.
