Regular workshops for both lawyers and non - lawyers on the drafting and successful negotiation of commercial contracts. SLTC is the longest established and most successful privately and locally owned and run legal training institute in the Sultanate. The structure of each workshop usually comprises a two day program beginning with an explanation of governing principles, drafting conventions and contract structure followed by a series of interactive sessions and exercises on successful negotiation techniques and other key aspects of the course material. One major challenge is to ensure that both lawyers and non - lawyers derive equal benefit from their attendance. Another lies in the fact that the vast majority of course attendees have Arabic or Urdu as their first language rather than English; so it is important that course leadership and explanation of concepts are provided in appropriate terms.

In this role, I assisted in the management and running of the Corporate Commercial Department and oversee strategy and quality control of client services of SASLO generally. Senior Counsel and adviser to the Chairman of the firm, Said Al Shahry.

In this role, I managed the activities of the Corporate Commercial Department; I maintained and still maintain a personal core legal practice in corporate finance, banking and Islamic Finance

I headed up the Corporate Advisory team at Al Markaz Law Firm and was a senior partner in the firm, one of the most established law practices in Kuwait City. Our chief specialisms were Islamic Finance, M&A, corporate restructuring, international trade and foreign direct investment. Our client base extended from the largest Kuwait investment companies through international banks and corporates to local businesses of all sizes and varieties.
