Duties included equipping and loading the County Vehicle with required equipment to accomplish current day projects. I was the first to arrive to unlock and open the secure garage gate and maintained facility appearance and cleanliness. I had to occasionally drive the Ford F-250/Expedition County Vehicles on job sites. Once at the job site, it was my duty to locate surveyor monuments/markers and then set up the surveyor's tripods. Following this, the surveyor mirrors were positioned and balanced towards the total station to calibrate the backsight and foresight. Along with this, I would balance and set up the total station to begin taking measurements. Occasionally I would be running the data collector to take elevationmeasurements. In addition to these duties, I was responsible for pounding in wooden hubs and placing slope sticks and identify as elevation, grade, or edge of property boundary. Received certification for flagging as it was another duty for the job. Projects included grading on Silverdale Way adjacent to Old Town Silverdale and culvert replacement with a bridge over Chico Creek on NW Golf Club Hill Rd in Silverdale, WA. Other jobs included taking elevation shots at Kitsap Quarry climbing up through thick brush on steep slopes and surveying for Whispering Firs Stormwater Park adjacent to Silverdale Way just Northeast of the Silverdaledog and skate park.
