A well-known Entrepreneur in Western Australia, Tony's story started straight out of high school when a top-end Hollywood Studio picked him up as a runner and later a set and prop designer and builder, working on films like feature Hollywood films traveling the world. This valuable experience led Tony to start his own production house, "DC Design," producing television commercials for companies such as the Lotteries Commission, HBF, 3 Mobile, and the OHS Crash Campaigns, to name a few. His film and television career spanned over nine years until a larger production house purchased his company from Melbourne.Ranked the #1 logo designer on the crowd-sourcing site designcrowd.com for two consecutive years, playing an integral part in the branding and marketing of Easy Start Homes and New Generation Homes in Perth, New York Times Square logos. Tony's background will always be cemented in design.A success story on Channel 10's Shark Tank, Tony launched a successful custom guitar strap company called "The Guitar Strap Co." at the 2017 NAMM (National Association of Music Merchants) Expo in Anaheim, USA, in January. This trip was successful in marketing his company, and he has seen his guitar straps being sold in over 150 stores worldwide.Recognized as an "Industry leader" with our team at Curtin University, hiring him for a mentoring role to the marketing and advertising students. This is Tony's 9th year with Curtin as a part-time lecturer and his fourth year in a mentor role. Ever expanding, Tony has launched a startup with long-time business mentor Andrew Hagen called Enterprise VR, a fully funded startup in the Web3 Metaverse Sector www.vnovr.com, a mixed reality experience set to be one of the big startup success stories to come out of Australia.
