My focus on proactive planning and clear communication allows for seamless coordination among all stakeholders, minimizing disruptions while maximizing public safety during natural disasters, civil disruption and special events that are popular within the Nations Oldest City.With over 30 Years of Law Enforcement experience I am skilled in researching, writing and implementing policies and grants. I currently oversee and manage a 9 million dollar budget. I have held many positions including Traffic Homicide Investigator/Re-constructionist, FDLE certified firearms instructor and served 12 years on the SRT and currently am the SRT Commander. I am a graduate of the of St. Johns College of Executive Leadership, Class 001, FEDS, hold a B.A. Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida. I am also a Graduate of the FDLE Executive Leadership Class 5 and the prestigious FBI National Academy Session 275. Awards include Officer of the Year 2015, Top Gun and Chief's Service Award. I have been passionate about serving the community and the officers I work with which has led me to hold roles on the Board of Directors for the St. Francis House, Home Again St. Johns, St. Johns Continuum of Care, St. Augustine Police Pension Fund and the St. Augustine Police Benevolent Organization.I have been blessed with a fruitful career in law enforcement, and have been blessed even more as a husband, father and grandfather to 4 beautiful grandchildren.
