RT Litho Limited, based at The Print Centre in Laindon North Basildon Essex, is a fully operational Print Works. Established in 1991 and turned Limited on 1994. We supply a full range of print products from as little as Business Cards through to Full Colour Brochures, Retail Packaging and more recently Digital and Large Format print such as Banners and Signage.Responsibilities - Mac Operator in the Repro Department, back then the system they used was Brisque and the programs used with this was QuarkXPress, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat with Pitstop, Preps, Press touch, Freehand and Flight check.• Used QuarkXPress and Adobe InDesign mainly for art working and now and then Freehand.• Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator they used for images (colour changes, re-touching, clipping paths etc), the candidate used Preps for imposing the jobs and Flight check for checking all the fonts are embedded in the job and the images are in CMYK not RGB and are high resolution enough for output.• Once jobs are ready to go to press, they use a Computer to Plate (CTP) up to B2 size which started with chemical based one which took of a lot maintaining.• Also had an Epson 9800 for proofing the jobs for customer to see colour and content.• Then upgraded all systems to Prinergy Evo and to a Magnus 400 plating system in 2007.• Prinergy Evo system is slightly different to Brisque as you have lots of different rips you can set up for example they have process for 4 colour jobs, process spot for jobs with spot colours, and with these you have the trapping rips.
