Assessments and Governance Lead – In this role, I’m driving a revamp in how we asses the work being done by our development teams, the work happening under our acquisitions, as well as driving improvements in our daily interoperability and infrastructure.· Established and refined an Architecture Review Board process that allows us to bring the best solutions and engineering that Mastercard has to offer. (This includes the Software Architecture, Platform Architecture, Security, and Availability)· Completing risk assessments of the technology and SDLC operations of newly merged and acquired (M&A) entitiesBuilders’ Tools Program Owner - Selected to merge multiple teams into a new organization called the Builders Tools Program that owns all Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery solutions for Mastercard Operations and Technology. This program supports the more than 4000 users of CI and CD tooling. We build curated frameworks, pipelines, and solutions that speed the delivery of secure, stable source code into viable and differentiating Intellectual Property.· Lead the creation of common CI and CD pipeline for the compilation, quality, build, test, and deployment of Java and .Net code. The “Builders Tools Engine” reduced the labor cost and improved the development experience. Teams adopting the engine saw a 30% improvement in timing of code writing to production deployment.· Created the Builders Tools Customer Advisory Board to serve as a strategic advisory board to guide Mastercard's technology patterns and investment.· Drove the implementation of tools to create a service catalogue to include documenting the software bill of materials (SBOM). These tools helped reduce duplication of technology services and capabilities.

Selected to create a new organization called “Cloud Integration” that was chartered to help application teams speed their readiness for migration to “cloud” and “cloud-like” architecture, processes, and procedures. This organization was used as a basis to build the future Builders Tools Program. Some of the work done under this group included:• Helping teams understand the impact of designing for Twelve Factor applications• Establishing the value of GitFlow based development, API first designs, and using Microservice oriented architecture• Worked with internal development teams to understand how differences in Cloud based infrastructure, networking, and services affected their application design• Did outreach work to various development groups to demonstrate the value of re-usable software, common architecture, and consistent development practices.Recognized by members of my team for my leadership, strategic vision, and commitment to their growth. Charter member of the “Biz Ops” guild. Helped to create a new organization within Mastercard to standardize our business operation processes, procedures, and technology. Specific activities in this assignment included:• Established the criteria/strategy for how work and responsibilities should be aligned.• Lead teams through the transition to the new guild alignment.• Focused intently on the "Enable" tier of the guild around developer enablement and automation.• Established an Automation Maturity assessment to help the various Biz Ops teams measure their progress in their automation journeys.• Assisted in the creation of learning/training pathways for skill assessment and upgrades.• Drove partnership with our Product and Market teams, to help drive additional business opportunities through work with our major digital partners/customers.• Led a high-performing team of more than 60 engineering and support staff

Selected to build a new hosting and integration team as part of Software-as-a-Service offerings for e-wallets and other digital e-commerce solutions. This new business model within Mastercard targeted new revenue streams and services. This was one of the first times Mastercard created on-behalf of digital solutions for our customers. Accomplishments in this assignment included:• Established the minimum viable product criteria for the offering by partnering with product and international market teams.• Created profit and loss models for the new services, including high-yield bundled service capabilities and add-ons.• Created Operational controls and readiness, to include front-line customer journeys and operational support agreements.• Improved operating margins of the service by 25% during the assignment.

Starting as an individual engineering resource, promoted to increasing degrees of accountability and oversight over various infrastructure platforms and services. These responsibilities and assignments culminated to include:• Management and accountability of a +19M annual budget for the UNIX platforms at Mastercard.• Drove enhancements, efficiencies, and recognized cost savings of +9M in the last three years of the assignment alone.• Partnered with various internal service providers to drive the technology integration of three large global acquisitions.• Established a new operations staff to support remote computing technologies based on Citrix Server and Virtual Desktop• Architected and launched “Bring Your Own Device” mobile device management solution in less than six months, supporting more than 1000 devices within three weeks of launch.Recognized by staff for improving department processes, morale, and work environment.
