In this job role, I worked as a Sr. Static Equipment Engineer, TA2 under MTAC & Engineering, Hub Capability supporting GoM Offshore Assets, Appomattox, Perdido, FPSO Turritella (Stones), and Whale (with previous support roles to Auger.) During this assignment I:- supported the Pressure Equipment Integrity Management (PEIM) program at all assets in alignment with the Managed Asset Care (formerly MEC) & SEAM standards, - reviewed and owned various Management of Changes as Static Mechanical TA2 discipline,- reviewed and acknowledged FSR maintenance deviations for proper mitigation and extension,- reviewed wIMS deferrals for CAIR schedules,- reviewed inspection reports and provided technical recommendations for solutions in alignment w/internal policies/procedures and industry standards,- reviewed project DCAF control points as RTA for Static Mechanical TA2 (as necessary),- managed Fit4MTO integrity threats and technical work associated with execution of mitigations and solutions,- maintained and updated TIMSS as custodian of ten (10) Static Mechanical documents,- performed Fitness-for-Service (FFS) and Risk Based Inspection (RBI) evaluations for various static mechanical equipment,- developed, prepared, and reviewed vendor bid packages for static mechanical equipment,- submitted and reviewed work scope for asset turnarounds (TAR) and provided event support for discovery work. - supported TAR and work pack planners with equipment selection in alignment with company specifications, - coached/mentored PEI team peers, new technical professionals and interns on Upstream business practices and ways of working.

As a Pressure Equipment Engineer, I was responsible for supporting maintenance and integrity inspections of static mechanical equipment, including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, pipes, and valves for Shell's FPSO Turritella vessel (a.k.a. Stones). Responsibilities included review and provide recommendations on integrity inspection reports, technical authority review of Management of Changes (MOC), perform bolted joint assembly calculations to ASME PCC-1 for both ASME/ANSI and international flange designs (JIS/DIN), and mentor new engineers.

In this role, I served on a multi-disciplined engineering team whose primary focus was to deliver operational aspects for a safe and efficient new platform/facility startup, "First Oil," of Shell's Appomattox FPS in the Gulf of Mexico. Deliverables included creation/review of detailed operational and startup procedures, file operations specific regulatory permits, maintenance planning and spare part reviews, define integrity operating windows, develop operational surveillance and proactive technical monitoring of systems, post-first oil system troubleshooting, management of production threats and opportunities, and management of both scheduled and un-scheduled deferment/downtime.

In this job role, I worked as the Perdido Facilities Focal Point and was a core member of the virtual asset team. In this job role, I worked in the Facilities Surveillance "Pool" supporting multiple assets and working in a multi-disciplined engineering team. During this assignment I:- Developed DG3 FEED studies for GoM wide flare meter installation campaigns on six asset locations. Provided advisement to M&A during vendor selection & vetting and during meter start-up/commissioning.- Conducted AI-PSM PSBR 6 & 7 data gathering/assessments for various GoM assets. Provided FEED DG3 cost estimating for PSBR 8 implementation GoM wide.- Led Perdido waterflood start-up & commissioning effort for an 80,000 BPD WI system. Effort included subsea flowline flushing, verification of equipment performance envelopes, development of startup/shutdown operational procedures, and surveillance plans and tools (PI Process Books, KPI Scorecard, Daily Water Sampling Routines).- Led as technical advisor for deployment of the Shell Actual and Simulated Coreflood Evaluation Tool (ASCET) Skid at Perdido. This tool was used to evaluate waterflood water quality and it's impact on cores. - Took the role as the Mars Corridor Shutdown Coordinator, managing the coordination of activities among 3 offshore assets, 2 dive vessels, & onshore receiving station upgrades in the 2012 Mars Corridor Shutdown. Led daily Decision Review Board meetings and communicated overall status of corridor health to Deep Water Leadership Team.

In this job role, I served as a liaison in Operational Readiness & Assurance providing project deliverables in alignment with Global Process 12, EPBM EP-65 and OE Standard. This role transitioned to a waterflood facilities focal point once the project was handed over to operations to run and maintain. During this role I:- Provided start-up, commissioning and day-to-day operational support for topsides water injection equipment in a 240000 BPD waterflood system with four subsea injectors, Minox® deaeration plant, sulfate removal unit (SRU), and high energy barrel injection pumps. - Managed small scale (< $500,000 USD) engineering projects to improve system performance and reliability.- Contributed to peer reviews, startup and surveillance support for Shell's first global use of nano-filtration membrane technology offshore SRU (sulphate removal unit).- Developed key performance indicators, surveillance plans/tools (PI Processbooks & EBS Bridge Services), and operational procedures.- Developed maintenance philosophies, strategies, and sparing plan.- Developed and implemented maintenance task lists and plans in SAP.- Identified and developed Short Interval Controls (SICs) and CLAIR activities (Clean, Lubricate, Adjust, Inspect, & Repair) for new topsides water injection equipment.- Contributed to peer reviews and lessons learned workshops for several emerging waterflood projects in Upstream Americas, including Perdido, Mars "A" WF Expansion, and BC-10. - Assisted with shutdown coordination activities.

This job assignment offered me the ability to gain hands on, on-site training and experience working offshore in a 7 days on/ 7 days off work rotation. During this assignment, I: - was Root Cause Analysis and Management of Change Champion for three distinct operating units in the GoM (Enchilada/Salsa in GC-128/172, Cougar in ST-300/301, and Western Gas in BA-A19/PN-975/WC-565) reducing the number of backlog RCA's and MOC's and improving cycle time for MOC closure and RCA learning's.- Provided daily surveillance and troubleshooting of topsides production equipment.- Managed closure of PtL, HAZOP & PHA audit action items.- Responsible for review and delivery of updated P&ID's, SAFE Charts and Process Flow Diagrams per API RP 14C .

In this job role, I provided engineering and technical support, guidance, and expertise regarding regulatory matters to members in the Regulatory Affairs department as well as direct support to all offshore GoM locations.
