I am a highly experienced Occupational Therapist having held senior roles in a variety of settings including the NHS, private practice, private sector healthcare, case management and in clinical, educational and leadership capacities. I pride myself in bringing my clinical expertise and knowledge to my leadership and educational roles and being an engaged leader, with both workforce and the patients and clients of our services. My clinical/clinical leadership experience includes orthopaedics, vascular and amputees, care of older people (including delirium and dementia care), respiratory care and low secure psychiatry - all within hospital, community or para-legal settings. I have experience in the assessment and management of multi track cases within the personal injury arena with cases varying from major skeletal trauma to psychological impacts. I also have extensive experience in vocational rehabilitation/return to work planning and implementation for employees returning to work following physical injury and physiological/mental health events and long term conditions. Within the fields of education, I am a qualified and experienced Clinical Educator having taught students in clinical practice in Occupational Therapy and supported the learning in practice of other health and social care profession learners at all levels. I have experience in the sourcing, development and governance of practice based education provisions across a range of professions at pre registration stage, at apprentice, undergraduate and post graduate levels.As a practising clinician and operational leader, I have a breadth of experience in clinical and operational management. My experience is primarily focused in therapy services, in the development and the operational impact of such services in clinical care delivery.My roles have, and do include the supervision and management of people, resources and finances. This includes managing budgets, supporting staff and learner development and progression, instigation and involvement in HR processes and identification, implementation and management of changes in the workplace. I am also experienced in risk and incident evaluation and investigation including preparation and presentation of reports for HM Coroner.
