Preschool Director
CurrentSince 1994 where I found my passion for working with preschool children. In the last 30 years, children's behavior and attitudes have changed from quiet, insurer children whereas preschool teachers would Give a lot of praise, show concrete evidence of their progress, and accomplishments, Help them to feel important in class, Engage their interests, and Encourage a sense of belonging. Now we are still doing Motivation development but, also what is a true leader, Corporate play, what is teamwork and their Identity, plus other life situations or experiences. For example, four years ago, a 4-year-old child recognized that I was wearing a wedding ring. She pointed at it and said. What's that, I said it to my wedding ring. She looked at me puzzled and asked me what a wedding ring was. It saddens me that I had to explain to a four-year-old in 2017 what it meant to be married, even after explaining it to her. She still didn't understand, not what marriage meant. But why her parent was not married and living in separate lives? Even as a pastor I still get the same questions from older adults.
