This reduced errors, made reconciliations easier and reduced overtime.• Key member of the project team responsible for restructuring and merging NSW Maritime and the RTA Finance functions. This resulted in a smooth transition of functions, relocation of staff, implementation of new procedures and training of 60 Finance staff.• Wrote and implemented a Treasury Management Policy. The Policy allowed for the matching of investments to the duration of the liability, allowing selection of the appropriate investment to provide the best possible return.• Designed a spread sheet for use by payroll staff to calculate FBT on salary sacrifice motor vehicles. This automated the calculation of deductions and minimized staff owing thousands of dollars at the end of the FBT year. It also reduced errors made by payroll staff.

This was achieved within agreed project targets, timeframes and budget, increasing efficiencies in processing invoices, uploading of journals and bulk capitalisation of asset acquisitions. This also led to improved controls, automation of reconciliations and better reporting capabilities.• Implemented the Projects Module of SAP which improved the capturing of data, streamlined processes, recorded assets by components and improved capital reporting. This reduced reporting time by 2 days per month.• Implemented a wholly owned subsidiary company in SAP to provide separate reporting of a new business. Utilising existing staff, I absorbed the additional financial accounting functions including the preparation of consolidated statutory accounts.
