Greetings! My name is Anthony, and I am so pleased to make you acquaintance. I am a recently graduated MArch student from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York currently working as a project coordinator at GPI. Previous to my current status, I attended the Michael Graves School of Public Architecture at Kean University in Union, New Jersey. The design world has opened up a new lens for me, allowing me to view the world differently and more educated. There are many things in this world that we can improve on, glorify, and create a new. As a designer, we are not only problem solvers but storytellers. We set up the place and setting for the story and write someone's future memories of being in the spaces we create.During my architectural education, I have worked on projects including a mid-rise commercial office building, a wellness rehabilitation center, a residential apartment complex, a transportation center, and various other design and research projects. Each project brought in new challenges and lessons to be learned. I enjoy working on different projects and do not strictly adhere to a specific kind of typology. I continuously make an effort to expand my architectural language and tool belt by giving myself new challenges and listening to what theorists and other practicing architects have to say about the world we live in today. As I said, I do not stick strictly to a specific kind of typology, thus allowing myself to work on many different typologies, and take the knowledge learned from each and mesh them together in various projects. Still, there is a common theme that I have taken an interest in: the element of social interaction, and the interaction between people and nature. I like creating a blurred line between the indoor and outdoor gardens and bring flora into places that they commonly would not be seen. Flora has a spiritual and mental effect on a human being and can transform an extremely stressful situation, into a peaceful, tranquil one. In conjunction with this, lighting is a significant factor, for illumination can change the mood and seriousness of a room in a matter of seconds. Both are powerful tools that I am still experimenting with and aim to use them to the best of my ability. Please feel free to reach out to me personally to either find out more information about me or have a conversation about architecture in general. I am always looking for new perspectives and ideas. We'll have it over a cup of tea. Thank you!
