Before joining Vinimark Trading as the Regional Operations Manager for Kwa Zulu Natal & Eastern Cape, my experience was in the financial field. I started my career with the Permanent Building Society after having finished my military training, where I was appointed as the youngest sub branch manager. After several years of running various branches, I joined a private finance company (Consumer Credit Corporation) as Assistant Manager. Roles there included payroll and management of the company premises & assets.As Consumer Credit grew, my role moved towards operations, before relocating to Pietermaritzburg as the Branch Manger of a new branch. This challenge involved the setup, organisation & operations (including sales & customer relations) of a new branch in a new city. I left Consumer Credit when I got married in order to return to Durban. I joined Vinimark Trading in 1999, serving for 24 years as my role of Operations Manager before reaching the company's retirement age of 60 in May 2023.
