This can be done as bulk analysis, or in-situ analysis (e.g. mapping of metal concentrations in rock samples and animal tissues)- isotope ratio analysis used as provenance tools (e.g. strontium isotopes in animal, human teeth or sediments), tracers of biological processes (e.g. calcium isotopes in blood) or dating of archaeological artefacts.WIGL services universities, government bodies, environmental consultancy firms, archaeological consultancy firms, analytical service companies, agriculture and resource companies.My research activity centers on using isotopes to study a wide range of geological and biological processes - from the origin of animals, the evolution and the interaction of humans and the Earth's surface, to the role of metals on the development of diseases (neurodegenerative, cardiovascular, kidney,...).
