Kabul, Afghanistan

Subject matter expert for tactical communications deployed with CJ6, Combined Security Transition Command, Afghanistan (CSTC-A) in support of the Afghan National Army (ANA). Developed relationships, provided technical advise to Afghan leadership that reported to the Director of Communications, ANA. Assisted with planning, budgeting, purchasing and deployment of communications equipment during the buildup of Afghan Army forces from 88K to 171.6K personnel.

Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan

Supervised 4 man team responsible for all communications assets assigned to 72 member Army Civil Affairs team - Radios, computers, phones, and jamming equipment. Ensured Unit Communications Center was manned and remained in contact with all "away" missions. Repaired or coordinated repair of all communications assets.Tested all equipment prior to every mission - had the authority to "pull" vehicles unable to meet mission requirements. No missions were ever cancelled due to communications equipment failure.Unit conducted 300 combat missions, and oversaw $20 million in reconstruction projects across Parwan and Kapisa provinces.
