Director Of Program Operations , Entertainment Careers Arts After School Programs
CurrentResponsibility includes maintaining an Afterschool Program at three (3) sites in Queens New York; managing a $2.6 million dollar program budget; supervising middle management and office staff of seven (7), and by proxy an additional thirty five (35) front line employees; Ensuring that attendance levels at each of the programs is at least 80% throughout the year; Designing, implementing and carrying out on-going recruitment strategies and enrollment plans for 6, 7, and 8th grade students with the assistance of Site Directors, and School Principals; Creating formal staff meeting agendas and facilitating weekly Site Director Meetings; Initiating, building and maintaining positive relationships with school staff; Reviewing and approving all data entered into the DYCD Connect and HHS Accelerator database systems; Complying with all DYCD reporting requirements for the program’s operation. Evaluating job performance of Site Directors and office staff; Appraising all Entertainment Career Arts Afterschool Program sites and ensuring all are adhering to the appropriate program policies and procedures; Submitting accurate on-time DYCD reimbursements documentation (PERS); Designing and submitting program budgets and budget modifications; Ensuring staffing positions are filled and appropriate substitutes are in place; Reporting to the Black Spectrum Theatre Company’s Board of Directors on a quarterly basis; Planning professional development for staff; Filing and submitting loan applications to maintain program cash flow when necessary; Reviewing supplies, equipment and material request with Accountant and Site Directors; Interfacing with DYCD to answer program related questions; Attending when possible, all trips, interim and final performances of students throughout the program.
