I am a Production Assistant with KGWN TV, CBS 5 in Cheyenne, WY. I began this position in January, 2024. This is my first staff position as a media professional. I am very excited about this new career and look forward to learning all aspects of live broadcasting. The main responsibilities in this position are master control, directing, and audio control.I graduated from the Colorado Media School in September, 2023, with a diploma in Radio and Television Broadcasting. I have worked as a Videographer Assistant with Aim High Video Productions, Camera Operator for NSPN TV and Colorado Sports Video, and as a freelance Video Editor/Content Creator. My main passion is sports and I ultimately want to work in sports media, in a production capacity.My professional background is in Accounting, which I did for 7 years with Nutrien Ag Solutions. In 2021, I decided to begin the transition into a new career in the world of media. I have worked a variety of other jobs, including delivery driver, ice hockey referee, ice rink attendant (yes, I know how to drive a Zamboni), ice skating instructor, life insurance salesman, carpet cleaner, custodian, standardized test grader, and animal shelter general staff. After all of those experiences, I believe that I have finally found my calling in the world of media.
