In this role, I:- Studied and analyzed projects associated with the department, providing recommendations for improvement.- Collaborated with staff and stakeholders to learn how government/public offices function on a day-to-day basis.- Organized ICT empowerment trainings for fellow corps members, helping them upskill for the job market.- Led the ICT community development services (CDS) as a technical and design officer.- Took on freelance creative gigs in my spare time, refining my skills and expanding my portfolio and personal brand.- Attempted to build and launch a tech startup in collaboration with a fellow corps member. Although this was unsuccessful, we learned a great deal from the experience.Overall, my NYSC experience was a valuable adventure in my career journey, professional growth, and personal development. I registered the business with the Corporate Affairs Commission and achieved the following:- Empowered hundreds of students with the skills they need to succeed in the creative industry by training them in graphics design using Photoshop.- Promoted the creative arts and entrepreneurship on campus by executing a number of communication and editorial graphics design projects, including marketing materials for student organizations and social impact initiatives.- Built and sustained partnerships with a number of students associations, including the Student Union Government (SUG), to create opportunities for students to express themselves and make a difference in the world.- Introduced Adobe Photoshop trainings to the Department of Architecture, UNEC, to help students develop their technical skills and creative potential.- Collaborated with other students to build enterprises, which served as a solid foundation for career development in the creative space.My work with Insecta Animations has had a positive impact on the lives of many people.
