In the world of science, ever since I was a child, I often asked myself the same question : how does it work? It is my curious nature which lead me to be a passionate software engineer.During my work in OVH, I had different positions in the company mostly based on Software Engineer and devops for Cloud Computing and Web Hosting.Here are several examples of my work:# PHP-FPM on Web HostingBecause of its success, the Web Hosting began to suffer from latency. I optimized industrialization of PHP-FPM engine on our web hosting infrastructure.Instead of respawning a process on each php script interpretation, the PHP-FPM engine works with IPC, a pool of workers and apply opcode-caching. This mechanism decreases significantly I/O disk and improves the performances up to seven times on our test labs.The web hosting is shared, thus the main challenge became delivering maximal security to our customers. As a result, we used several low level containerisation tools available on the linux kernel (namespaces / cgroups / capabilities)# Your Hub in the cloudhubiC is an Openstack based storage service which allows you to store and share copies of your local files. In a team of 3 developers, we both designed and developed the hubiC client using C# / .NET on Windows, OS X & Linux.# Public Cloud APISince 2015, I joined the development team of the Public Cloud API. It includes the combination of the Openstack features, the asynchronous tasks and the billing process in Go programming language.The work I do at OVH helps me to be an actor in complex projects using elastic deployment on Mesos in micro-service architectures.On a more personal level, I enjoy travelling and discovering new cultures. I did so by volunteering in Cameroon to build schools and as an exchange student in China. Recently, I have developed my interest in beer brewing and beekeeping as well.Voilà, here are a few words of my presentation !
