As the Recruitment Manager, I was responsible for all aspects of the recruitment process. I managed a team of 6 staff which were responsible for advertising the Trust's vacancies, circulating shortlisting packages of completed applications to managers, issuing invite to interview letters and offer letters to the successful applicant. The team would then ensure that all checks were completed including Criminal Bureau Checks, obtaining references and then completing all paperwork when the applicant commenced work with the organisation. During this time, I was responsible for developing a Recruitment Guide for Managers which involved trying to make the process as user friendly as possible. This included changing a number of recruitment forms and also introducing a two day recruitment course for managers which was held every two months that I facilitated. I was responsible for many Doctor and Nursing advertising campaigns where I attended a number of national exhibitions to try and persuade people to apply for jobs within the organisation. I also sat on many interview panels including the Consultant Psychiatrist interviews which had to be set up in accordance to the Royal Psychiatry guidance. One of my responsibilities was to produce monthly reports detailing the number of posts that had been advertised during this period and the amount of appointments made.
