During my time on the Investment Committee we worked to enhance Premium Wealth Management’s investment policy and approved product list, to make recommendations to the Board of Directors designed to assist member firms to give the highest quality of advice to their clients, and to provide information to clients and member firms to mitigate risk. The committee created an interactive forum that fostered best practice in financial advice-giving, communicated and disseminated information relating to fund performance and new products, and engaged member firms to create a sense of ownership.

Heart Kids is a not for profit organization that provides support to families and children affected by heart disease. As a board member I contributed to the governance of the organisation and provided direction and strategy for the CEO. Our most recent initiative = Super Boss Day - raised close to $100,000.

Tullamarine

A member of the Rotary Club of Tullamarine since 2005, fund raising has been my main focus since becoming treasurer in 2007.We’ve run an event for Heart Kids Victoria every year for the past decade, raising more than $300,000 over that period. I have chaired the committee for this event for the past three years and our most recent event - a gala night featuring entertainment and fund raising auctions - raised $30,000 which went towards Family Support within the Heart Kids organization.

The CPA Public Practice Committee is the representative body of CPA for public practitioners across the state providing a voice between the CPA board and general practitioners, facilitating communication by sharing information through emails, journals and newsletters. As a member I attended regional forums to seek practitioners’ views on how CPA could assist practitioners working in public practice and what challenges they faced.

A board member of the Victoria Indoor Bias Bowls Association for seven years, I was also Chairman of Selectors during that period, and served several years on the Match Committee.
