Tony Forstmann has a career of identifying important trends and capitalizing on them. He has significant entrepreneurial experience building businesses as well as professional investment experience. In addition to investing in companies at different stages in their growth trajectory; he has worked with venture stage, private, and public companies as advisor and board member. He has worked at leading alternative asset management firms notably Forstmann-Leff Associates, Level Global and Moore Capital Management. He was the founder and CIO of Forstmann Asset Management raising over one billion dollars and successfully investing over multiple economic cycles. He made original private equity investments in Activision and Whole Foods Market. He has worked for family offices on strategic initiatives as well as raising and managing assets. In the early part of 2020 he began a project in machine learning looking at the role domain experts play in both labeling and supervising data as well as developing economic value models for outcomes. He is a subject matter expert in alternate payment models in healthcare reimbursement as well as having deep domain expertise in drug and new product development . He wrote his senior thesis at Yale on asset allocation and Fed policy with Richard Clarida current Vice Chair of the Federal Reserve as his advisor.
