The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee the development and delivery of innovative multi-channel B2C marketing campaigns, as well as providing advice and support to stakeholders across the business on all brand and marketing related issues. Due to the varied and often complex nature of Alexander Forbes’ products and services the role requires marketing campaigns to be engaging whilst being clear and concise. I am responsible for organising and project managing campaigns across multiple channels including online, print and events. To ensure the success of each and every campaign I provide strategic, as well as tactical thinking, whilst using my creative skills to generate innovative themes that maximise enrolment amongst our Customers’ employees. Key Achievements and responsibilities:I have managed several facets of the re-branding of Alexander Forbes since its launch in June 2011, prioritising Customer focused marketing collateral and sales tools. This has included internally promoting brand engagement and awareness, brand guardianship, approvals and audits.The development of innovative customer facing email marketing campaigns which have improved of scheme enrolments when compared to the usage of traditional channels such as direct mail. I have managed a number of campaigns for a variety of Customers integrating the education of our Customers, and their employees, into every campaign. This has required creating engaging campaigns which make complex topics such as salary sacrifice, annuity purchasing and understanding pension schemes accessible to those with a limited knowledge of financial services.The development of quantitative metrics to measure the success of all campaigns. These are used to generate management reports, including engagement statistics and ROI for internal stakeholders and Customers at regular intervals during each campaign.
Group Brand & Corporate Communications Co-Ordinator
Reporting to both the Group Strategy and Business Development Director and the Communications Director the key responsibilities of this position included the planning, development and delivery of group-wide corporate communications and marketing strategies. The role incorporated the effective management of stakeholder and marketing communications (both internal and external) through print and electronic communication channels. This included communicating directly with over 12,000 Costain representatives and JV partners, and managing agencies and suppliers. I also had sole responsibility for the protection, enhancement and promotion of the Costain brand, as well as providing strategic advice to all employees on brand, marketing and communications issues.During my tenure in this role, overseeing the awards programme and entries, the Costain brand has received significant independent external verification for the improvement in the brands performance and perception, which has included being nominated as Business Superbrand for three consecutive years, and in 2009 and 2010 featuring in the Management Today magazine Top 100 ‘Most Admired Companies’ survey. In addition to this two of UK’s most respected magazines Construction News and New Civil Engineer acknowledged the Costain brand by awarding the Group with two Major Contractor of Year awards (2008 & 2009), the Contractor of the Decade (2000-2010) award and the 2009 Supreme Winner at the Construction News Awards.Key Achievements and responsibilities:The development of brand guidelines and communications best practice to enhance the Costain brand through the continuity of communications. Playing a key role in the development, production and delivery management of the Costain Annual Report and Accounts, of which the 2009 publication was highly commended at the Accountancy Age Awards for its innovative inclusion of Corporate Responsibility reporting and stakeholder focus.

This was varied role within a medium size company specialising in corporate vehicle management, car hire and leasing. The position required working from grass root level to liaising with Marketing Manager and the Board of Directors. Reporting on a day-to-day basis directly with the Marketing Manager, and following a marketing strategy with strict management and control of pre-set budgets. The role incorporated both B2B and B2C marketing.Key Achievements and responsibilities:Co-ordination of marketing communications and brand development including promotions, event management, press releases, advertising, direct marketing and email marketing campaigns, presentations, proposals and tenders and the creation of POS materials, employee newsletters and website development. This entailed working with automotive manufacturers including BMW, Mercedes, Renault, Nissan and Audi.The role entailed working on communications campaigns in both for major blue-chip clients such as Microsoft, Orange, Grant Thornton and Shell. These campaigns were executed across multiple channels and included direct mail, email marketing, and employee road shows during to promote vehicle leasing and employee car ownership schemes.
