Managing a varied and evolving portfolio of sponsor owned leveraged transactions across a diverse range of sectors. The primary responsibility of the role was to monitor the creditworthiness of a range of leveraged transactions reporting to a broad range of internal parties in addition to establishing, building and maintaining relationships with management teams of predominantly larger cap companies to both aid this aim as well as identify potential opportunities to expand the bank’s relationship. The role encompassed active management of under-performing files, examining risk reduction strategies including the negotiation of amendments and waivers, examining secondary market opportunities, financial restructurings in either lender-led or under alternative sponsor ownership. Preparation, submission and discussion with business line management and Risk department of annual reviews, amendment and waiver requests, rating calculations, ESG analysis, watchlist and doubtful reports, IFRS 9 compliant provision calculations, quarterly portfolio reviews and other ad-hoc papers.
