- Manage all store operations and services- Provide leadership and direction to all store associates - Responsible for reviewing and analyzing Profit and Loss statements to determine fiscal areas of opportunity such as sales, gross profit, labor, shrink (reduction of inventory), total earnings, etc. - Develop and implement strategies and procedures to improve fiscal areas of opportunity in all departments- Implement and sustain proper merchandising of product and display planning of product in all departments (daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly).- Determine labor coverage needs for departments based on an analysis of current and projected sales and market conditions; review and approve all schedules to meet those labor coverage requirements - Store budget management; practice aggressive cost control for all in-store operating, maintenance and supply costs. - Determine proper inventory levels in departments and establish procedures for maintaining proper inventory levels such as reviewing and approving ordering and production processes in all departments- Quality Control: Perform daily product quality checks in all Perishable departments; Meat, Seafood, Produce, Bakery, Deli, Prepared Foods- Responsible for all in store compliance programs and safety procedures such as food safety, hazardous waste, power industrial truck training, daily/weekly department cleaning oversight, etc. - Direct and supervise 50-100 associates in a fast-paced multi-functional environment- Direct reports: Assistant Store Director, Evening Manager and all Department Managers (customer service, grocery, produce, meat, deli, prepared foods, liquor, starbucks, seafood, bakery, floral)
