Born in Durban, South Africa.Admitted to University of Natal, Medical school at 16 years of age and qualified at age of 23(7 year course).Internship at King Edward VIII hospital followed by 3 year of general practice training.Engaged in general practice for seven years and then reentered department of medicine as registrar to Prof. Adams. While in GP ran a clinic for SANCADD(South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence) on a voluntary,unpaid basis.After 3 years migrated to Australia in 1977.Worked as senior registrar at Lidcombe hospital for 3 years then reentered GP in Eastwood in 1980.Now engage chiefly as director of Eastwood Health Centre.
