Project Name: Slover Memorial LibraryOwner: City of NorfolkContract Value: $42,000,000Job Description: Involved with the buy-out process, including reviewing bids, negotiating contract values, writing scopes of work and issuing subcontracts. Manage the project's cost report using CMiC construction software; includes updating quantities, forecasting cost and revenue, and reviewing current costs versus budgeted costs. Report project status to company executives which includes current and forecasted costs, profit and loss statements, scheduling and change orders. Update the project's schedule using Primavera P6, for weekly coordination and for the monthly Owner invoice submissions. Create schedule fragnets for all PCIs (Potential Change Item) submitted to the Owner. Incorporate schedule fragnets into the current schedule on a monthly basis. Review the project’s progress, including schedule, RFIs, potential change orders, submittals, and open issues with the Owner on a bi-weekly basis. Develop and issue change orders (PCIs) to the Owner. Review subcontractor’s requests for change orders, negotiate, write, and issue subcontractor change orders. Perform safety site inspections on a weekly basis to ensure the project is operating safely. Review work in the field and confirm it is built per the project’s plans and specifications. Work closely with subcontractors and field personnel to ensure that work in place, as well as upcoming work, is following the project’s lookahead schedule.
