Using the GIS program Smallworld (published by GE) we as a team document entire utility networks for the city of Freiburg and beyond. Due to the complexity of electrical networks specifically, our computer program offers the ability to not only document where electrical lines lie (usually underground in Germany), but also all important details pertaining to those lines. As a child company of badenova GmbH, a major utility provider in Baden-Württemberg, we undergo thorough quality assurance in order to provide the safest, most up-to-date maps of these utility networks daily. Aside from being a documentation specialist, I am also part of a small team within our company that exports and prepares the yearly raw statistics from our computer program, Smallworld, to be evaluated by badenova and our other customers. Due to the significance of these raw statistics, we undergo thorough processes to ensure the data is of the highest quality in accuracy.

From 2019 to the beginning of 2023 I worked at Emils Bio-Manufaktur in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany mainly as the warehouse lead, but every now and then also as a labeler and even sales/customer care agent. We were a small team from all parts of the world who made the effort to offer wonderful vegan, organic quality dressings and sauces! As Warehouse Lead I was reposnsible for: - the shipment of customer orders (both packages und whole pallets) - the examination of customer complaints (regarding shipping) - the optimization of the warehouse and shipment processes - receiving and booking of raw goods in our system - booking of our finished products - the storage of raw goods and finished products - inventoryAs the labeler I am responsible for: - the labelling of our finished products - the operation of the labeling machineAs a Sales/Customer Care Agent I was responsible for: - checking the inventory and quality of our products in supermarkets - setting up promotional displays in supermarkets - occasionally delivering our promotional products - planning with the leader new strategies to raise revenue in supermarkets - the satisfaction of our customers (supermarkets managers, owners etc.) - selling our products and bringing them into new supermarketsHaven't tried Emils delicious dressings and sauces yet? As one of three pastoral interns in the Calvary Chapel Freiburg I had the chance over the course of a year to learn what it means to be a pastor. We met often with one of the leading pastors of the church to discuss theological and personal topics, such as calling, church discipline and evangelism, all from the perspective of a pastor called by God. In total we read over 30 books over the year pertaining to these topics. During this time we each also were in charge of overseeing a ministry area of the church, with my area being the small group ministry. Through all of these things we got a good overview of what life as a pastor looks like, including the nitty-gritty, ever day administrative aspects, and also therefore what life as a pastor does not look like. It was a time full of joy and learning for us 3 interns. We will see what God does in the future with us!
