Served as the NCOIC in the Service and Recovery section for Bravo company, 188th Brigade Support Battalion in support of the 18th Fires Brigade; provides support for machine operations, fabrication, repair and modification of metallic and nonmetallic parts and scheduled maintenance of all trailers in support of five customer units, and recovery operations for the BSB and back up support for the Brigade; responsible for the accountability and serviceability of over $1,200,000 worth of MTOE; directly responsible for the professional development and health, welfare, training and mentoring of two NCO's and four Soldiers.• Selected by the unit first sergeant to serve as the Global Reaction Force NCO; displayed solid leadership by ensuring all 15 soldiers were deployment ready• Instrumental in the recovery, accountability, and identifying section excess tools and equipment, resulting in saving the Army over $17,000.00.• Lead the section to complete over 55 work orders for scheduled maintenance, which contributed to the unit's overall operational readiness rate of 99%

Fort Eustis

Served in Modular Causeway company; inspects, installs, modifies, and performs maintenance on metal and composite material body components, radiators, hulls, and accessories of Army watercraft; Maintain the structural and water tight integrity of six Modular Warping Tugs (MWT), one Side Loadable Warping Tug (SLWT), and over 600 pieces of Modular Causeway System valued in excess of 230 million dollars.• Enforced clear and sensible safety polices to protect soldiers from injury and equipment from being damage• Selected over 60 other NCO's to serve as the company Training NCOIC • Developed and implemented an intensive hands-on evaluation for MOS certification while mentoring soldiers to be well-rounded in all Allied Trades skills• Engineered, fabricated and gained approval to install a restraint system to be used on all unit Gators' mitigating any command directed safety concerns• Completed over 45 welding shop related work orders consisting of over 375 man hours of labor

Fort Stewart

Served as a Senior Welder in a Maintenance Company; manage and supervise all fabrication work, welding, glass, body, and fender repair; responsible for accountability, training health, and welfare of five soldiers; also responsible for maintenance and accountability of shop sets and equipment valued in excess of $200,000• Enabled welding section to maintain above 95% operational readiness rate while deployed to Iraq• Up-armored over 30 civilian pickup trucks belonging to Iraqi Army and Iraqi police units, providing additional protection for critical security partners• Fabricated over 15 armored Entry Control Point gates five weeks ahead of schedule for use at Military and Civilian Government installations throughout Iraq• Initially design and fabricated mine roller used on military trucks during Operation Iraqi Freedom III• Constructed nine add on armor kits for the Bradley Fighting Vehicle; increased Soldiers survival in combat operations• Developed a plan to successfully inventory, store, and ship company's hazardous materials to the Iraq theatre of operations • Cross-trained mechanics in welding and cutting operations, enhancing the section's wartime mission readiness
