My first GSM phone the Motorola 5020 and the sexy Tac II LED, not to forget Caudwell's own branded the Y Phone which saw the largest ever return rates since the Maxon MN1 !

Leaving my friends and social life behind and swapping it for 5 miles walking and 11 hours in the office every day. Whilst here i managed UK accounts selling handsets and accessories, this was a difficult task seeing as you had get the stock to sell which involved beating Matt Gaunt to it who generally sold all the good stuff before anyone other than the girls booking it in knew about it. If you did succeed in that you had to get it signed off by Barry Morris who would have a queue of salesmen up the stairs waiting to negotiate the signing off procedure. I see this as my training ground, we had sales training, call targets, constant monitoring, furious internal competition, Saturday staffing/meetings; The office was open plan so we could see the International sales guys doing deals, the UK sales guys competing for the monthly prize of the company car with the personalized plate. The monthly coach trips organised by Bonnie to take us to the best UK clubs, karaoke down the pub outside Minton on Friday's, black tie Fridays when J Mac would wear a black tie to work and everyone in the office new someone was getting fired at the end of the day. Thank you John for the opportunity and the environment to develop and thank you Brian for the 456GT and not sacking Wardy and I when Paul Barker reported us for being drunk/hungover at work on a Saturday.

These were the good old days where reprogramming these phones required advanced tools like a paper clip or a two pence piece!
