As of September 2017, the fund had a top-decile, relative to peers 1,3 & 5 year track record, also outperforming the MSCI EM-core index by a wide margin.Since leaving American Century in September of 2017, I have been engaged in a number of projects.I was engaged by a global consulting group, NMG Global assisting in a global asset management perception study, and factor investing study.I have also been speaking with an alternative data company, Thinknum and assisting a sustainability/ESG asset manager start-up, Culture Capital.For Thinknum, I have been speaking with them about the type of data long-only asset managers would be interested in accessing and how it should be presented. I have also been utilizing my network in order to get them in front of both buyside and sellside firms that may have an interest in their data sets.Culture Capital is a start up asset manager that uses a quantitative approach to rank companies on what could be considered “soft” data, such as employee turnover, in order to come up with two concentrated global portfolios of stocks, one long-only, the other a long-short portfolio. I have been assisting in the final stock selection process and portfolio maintenance process where my fundamental stock analysis skillset and company and sector knowledge can be utilized.
