In 2018 I retired following a highly successful career as a senior executive with extensive experience in financial services.I started my career on the London Metal Exchange negotiating and dealing with international consumers and producers. I followed this with a move into precious metal trading in Europe and North America.Having developed expertise in international trade, I was recruited into Foreign Exchange sales with Chase Manhattan Bank supporting European motor manufacturers and financial service businesses. Subsequent to "Big Bang" I built a Fixed Income client business for Chase Manhattan within Switzerland, advising private banks, insurance companies and mutual funds.I transitioned this business in 1993 to NCL Investments, a startup fund management company which grew to become the driving force behind the eventual merger that is now Evelyn Partners. The group is the UK's leading integrated wealth management and professional services business with £59 billion of client assets under management. As a Partner, and Head of International Fixed Income, I continued to successfully develop the business until my retirement.
