Serve in multiple capacities within the CTO Organization in the Technology Strategy team under the Field CTO group:* Work with Emerging Technology engineering teams and providing guidance on areas of cross company collaboration, assist with work promotion and enablement, and assist where needed regarding product management and product strategy areas.*Serve as the lead product manager for the Red Hat Validated Patterns initiative (https://validatedpatterns.io). This effort takes customer and partner use cases and puts them into a GitOps framework, which is called a pattern. The patterns are then tested against both GA and prerelease binaries to ensure the use case continues to work over time. The CI includes tests on AWS, Azure and Google clouds to ensure customers can use the use cases as is in their instances or modify them as needed to satisfy their business requirements. The GitOps framework allows for making changes as the configurations are modular and components can be added or removed relatively easily. The best part is the CI test results are online to allow users to see the last CI deployment prior to using the patterns.*Lead business level assessments. These can determine long term focus areas where the business should invest time and effort or take a deep dive into an existing product area to lay out options which might include product or feature deprecation.*Engage with Chief Architects and Field CTOs on projects as needed. These include specialized architectures and use cases and might need a validated pattern to be generated.*Work with our partners on joint Validated Patterns use cases and the Go To Market (GTM) efforts needed to promote them.Previous consulting services and product management skillsets are useful in this role change as without direct product ownership, a majority of the responsibilities involve influence and working with others.

Technical Product Manager in the CTO Organization, helping manage the Edge Initiative Leadership Team (ILT) focused on edge computing across the Red Hat portfolio. Also PM for Validated Patterns, which is a project to showcase complex use cases focused on edge and hybrid cloud that are validated while included in a testing framework. These patterns provide examples for complex deployments showing how customers can use gitops to ensure consistency across multiple sites.

I was employed by Veritas(VRTS) until a merger with Symantec(SYMC) and then after a split back to Veritas Technologies (VTAS) in January 2016. I started with Veritas as a consultant and worked with clients to install, configure, troubleshoot and architect solutions using Veritas Foundation Suite and Veritas Cluster Server through 2005. I then transferred to be the Technical Lead of the HP Migration Solutions Group within Symantec, which specialized in assisting HP customers migrate to Veritas Storage Foundation products. Currently I am a Technical Product Manager under IA (Information Availability) responsible for Availability products which include Cluster Server and ApplicationHA. Since 2008 I have worked on a team of talented Product Managers and Technical Product Managers to guide our VCS product. Over the last 4 years I have led the SFHA beta program or been the Availability lead. During that time we have doubled the amount of feedback from customers release-over-release. In the most current release other than the traditional beta code download, I proposed an event called the SFHA Beta Days to ensure we were able to capture customers beta feedback over the course of a 2-day onsite lab event in 8 cities around the world. I have also held Product Manager responsibilities for our Common Product Installer (CPI) from 2011 to 2015, which is focused on the installation, upgrade, patching and a catch-all group for managing complex procedures. The focus has been to make the installation and upgrade process as easy to install as possible. Our goal is to ensure customers who need current features can easily adopt them through our upgrade and installation utilities as well as the use of native installation tools where possible.In 2015, I was asked to work through changes to our Business Units EOL policy update and updates in license technology. This encompassed gathering feedback and setting the direction for the projects design and implementation.

System Administration and Architecture Consultant responsible for working directly with customers to manage their midrange computing environments, training their employees and enabled them to manage the environment themselves.
