    Developed software to monitor and control earth based satellite station equipment, such as power amplifiers, up and down converters, LNAs, UPS, etc. Debugged and repaired major show-stopper problems for several projects. Turned around the General Dynamics’ Swallow project (two year old project at the time) in one month while onsite in Japan. Accomplished by resolving multi-processor, multi thread stability issues with thread safe resource locking. I re-instilled customer confidence in the project. Other projects included memory allocation bug in DirecTV LABC software, and COM port failure in DirecTV Latin America software.Designed and implemented new features in software, including SNMP support to create custom MIBs for each customer’s unique site and a pass thru TCP/IP interface to allow third party software to access devices directly. I developed configuration management system using Perl and Visual Basic to control versioning and releases of software. This system improved quality of the delivered software and reduced bugs. Designed and implemented an exception logging architecture into the software to allow customer and M&C Systems technicians to better report bugs to software engineers.I performed testing and software trouble shooting both by telephone and onsite with customers and company personnel. These sites included both overseas and domestic sites.
